Ok so I'm almost scared to ask this question but I'm gonna do it anyways......
First the explanation then the question. i've been a fan of AI for years didn't really watch the Taylor year or Last year but saw every show of all of the other seasons and of course all of the episodes this season. I am an avid voter. Every year I vote. . But heres the thing that I'm gonna question. I of course have my favorites. This year it's cook. But when it comes to voting I vote for the person who has had the best performance of that week. Now I LOVE David cook and I WANT him to win but if he blows it in the finals I'll vote for Archuletta. Now the finals are a little different because I do take into account how they have done through the year. But for the most part.....I'll vote for the guy who has the best performance. I've seen people already saying I'm voting for Archie, or Cook...and that's before they performed. So heres the question.....are you voting for your favorite? Or the one who has the best performance Tuesday Night????
I'm hopefully voting for both......the best performer and my favorite. |

Meanwhile, the Saudi-born singer says she has temporarily settled in her uncle’s house in Fullerton. Asked if she still plans to move in with former co-contestant Danny Noriega, Ramiele said tersely, “Not gonna happen.”
Are we really sure that is an exact quote from Ramiele? If it is true, how hard it is to explain that she has other stuff to do first like the tour that is why she cannot commit? Why bluntly say "Not gonna happen"?

/edit: Please take note that she did talk about moving in with Danny when she faced the media by the time she got booted off the show. Hopefully everyone can join in the discussion in the comments and make sense of things especially since Danny is in a ~controversy~ again because of the finale. This article slipped under our radar back in April but it's a freaky coincidence that this came up at a time like this when Danny is facing some issues with the show. :(

Fox Reveals Idol's First Season 8 "Fix"
It was almost a throwaway line at Fox's Thursday upfront presentation, but it undoubtedly will be welcome news to most American Idol viewers: One of the first announced changes in place for Season 8 is "predominantly" half-hour results shows, versus hour-long, overstuffed and sometimes painfully bloated build-ups to a simple, "See ya!"
Less filler, sounds great!
This is but the first tweak in store for the next cycle, in which Fox brass hope to inject new energy, bigger "twists and turns" and better storytelling.

Syesha was quoted as saying:
"I'm a mix of a lot of things ... I'm like a black Christina Aguilera ... I definitely can see myself putting together a Christina Aguilera album, the one that she just recently did and an Alicia Keys album like The Diary of Alicia Keys. I like Pop and I like R&B and I like the old school, new school thing so I'm growing as an artist, I'm evolving ... You'll know who I am once I put out that album."
Okay, now I know she is trying to define who she is as an artist (especially since the judges criticized her time and again for not knowing who she was as an artist), but, REALLY? Now, girl can sing, there is no doubt about that. And I'm a Syesha fan and wanted to see her in the finale. But I think that she made quite a statement there, comparing herself to Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys.
What do you guys think?

A few days ago, my co-worker received random instant messages from a stranger and the stranger was like, "I know someone at your work place and he gave me your email and I can't tell who my friend is blah blah blah" in poor English (as if that sentence construction isn't poor!). And my co-worker showed their conversation to me and she was laughing because the guy was offering sex for a fee (Prostidude!!!).
I was so curious who "the friend" that person was talking about. Perhaps because of stalker instincts (Me = IN DENIAL!!!), I asked my co-worker to give me the email the stranger used. The stranger did mention that he was not using his own MSN email during the chat, but whatever, I did ask my co-worker to give it to me. And I was like, "I'm gonna look this bastard up on Friendster."
Knowing how Friendster works (Gawd, early adopter circa 2003 in da house!!), I figured that I have less chances of finding a match at the social network's search engine because it was a Hotmail address. Usually people over at Friendster use a Yahoo! email, AMIRITE??! But I did run a search anyway and it turned out to be unsuccessful. Anyway, it's not the only place you could look up an email address. There's teh Googlez.
So I did key in the email address on the search engine, and DING DING DING!! A profile in a Vietnamese forum came up with a username that screams " PERV CO-WORKER!!!" The dude who was sitting beside me apparently has the same name as the username written on the forum profile. I immediately told my co-worker who the suspect was and she was pissed because it wasn't a good joke. So being the instigator that I am, I went, "C'mon, tell our manager!"
So she did tell our manager and it came to a point that the news reached our executive director and all hell broke loose!! I LOVE IT!! There were phone calls made and stuff! It's still not proven if there is really a "stranger" involved or it was just my perv co-worker who pranked my other co-worker but still, the director didn't like what happened. SUSPENSE, no? What I didn't love though is that the director hit the perv with a wooden stick and he was limping a little for the next few days. HOLY SMOKES.
* If the management doubted that it's the perv who owns the MSN email, I got more results from the search engine that they can use to connect the dots. I came prepared, you know. |

I don't think I've posted here since season 4? 5? God I can't even remember, but I definately still lurk. I've not really cared a whole lot about an AI contestant the past few years, but I guess I got lucky this year because there were soooo many contestants I liked. Also I'm fortunate because the two people I wanted in the top two made it there.
Cook and Archuleta, both insanely good at their music niches. I'm a rocker girl at heart, rock being my favorite genre of music, so of course Cook is going to appeal to me, I knew he'd be one of my favorites the moment I saw his audition. And then there's Archuleta, the kid with the golden voice voice. I literally got chills when I heard him sing Imagine. And I was a total sucker for his homecoming video when he was overwhelmed by the huge crowd that turned out for him.
In the end, I'm voting for Archuleta. Cook's a great performer, but I cannot ignore how amazing this kid's voice is. Cook is slightly favored over Archie on the internet, but I believe it's a lot closer than everyone thinks it is. I truly believe it will all depend on who has the better night, and who picks up the majority of casual voters. It's going to be a pretty epic battle.

Did anyone else catch Syesha's lip synching on Wednesday night? During her song, at the very end, she smiles after singing her final note, however, the note is still playing as she's smiling. Lipsynching? Do they play the track while they sing their goodbye song? Back up singer? I can't figure it out but it's bugging me!

So, I posted this waaaaaay back in my David A community, but I thought a lot of you people here would find it interesting.
So, I forget how, but I am pretty sure I stumbled across David A's account on iLike.
Reasons I believe it's really him:
- Songs were first added in mid-July, a week or so before he even auditioned.
- One of his friends is Mietra, the girl on the show Ryan made a comment about David going to prom with.
- He has songs by his mother on there, including some of his own original songs.
- He has Tiffany Evans's songs on there (the girl who beat him in Star Search), plus former American Idol contestants.
- He has all of his favorite artists that he's mentioned added on there.
- Because it's "David A" and not "David Archuleta," they're not the "same person" on that site.
ANYWAY, I'm posting this because I think he has a huuuuuuuge variety of favorite artists/songs on there and you might be surprised.
That is, if it's him. Which seems very likely. |

Okay so Danny just went live for like 10 minutes. He needed to make an announcement.... so we were all on the edge of our seats, waiting for the news. Someone asked him if it was bad news, and he said "Yeah I think its bad."
So he waited for his room to fill up a little more, and when it finally did he let loose. He said that he got a call asking him if he was going to the finale, and he said yes. But they didnt give him a number or anything to get the tickets. So he had to call around like he wasnt important enough to get tickets, like he wasnt a CONTESTANT ON THE SHOW, to find out how to get his tickets. Well Ramiele finally gave him the number to call, so he called this lady, and I guess he was getting the tickets. But then he got an email that said he was NOT going to the finale because they were "full." WHAT THE HELL AMERICAN IDOL?! You cant even spare seats for your own freaking CONTESTANTS! He said Kady and Colton didnt get tickets either. American Idol cant even treat their own with respect? I cant even imagine how Danny must feel right now. He said he cant understand why they had that stupid poll today when they werent inviting him back anyway. Ugh.
